It’s too Fast
In an open letter, Elon Musk and over 1,000 AI experts and executives urged a six-month halt on training systems beyond GPT-4, due to possible dangers to society and humanity. They demanded common safety standards for such AI systems, verified by independent auditors.
“Powerful AI systems should be developed only once we are confident that their effects will be positive and their risks will be manageable,” the letter said.
